| Racers and teams of FUBAR: I would like to get everyone's interest and opinions on a Multi-Class Race Series like the American LeMans or other touring series where multiple classes race at the same time on the same track. I was hoping to try this on FLR, but now that I'm at FUBAR, want to get interest here. Just the "first draft", but here goes. - Ruleset would be similar to the ones being created now
- 4 cars each per Class in each lobby - 8 total (R1 = prototype / R3 = GT Class). Things could get dicey, but this should add to the excitement and overall "fun factor" (hope)
- Minimum of 6 drivers (3 and 3)
- At Least 1 pit stop (depending on track and # of laps)
- Just like in the ALMS, the races would be "time based" - various times again based on track (variety!)
- Cars could be tuned, but PI remains as "stock" (No Upgrades, not really needed anyway)
- This could be team based by having teams enter into both classes, or a team could just enter one class. Based on interest, we would determine if teams can enter both
- Liveries can be stock or team based (Suggestions?)
More to come.... I think this would be fun and the racing would stay somewhat interesting b/c just like in the real series, you'll have a fairly big gap in speed, so there will be some type of on track engagement during most of the race. Although not always for position and or in class, passing will happen fairly often and this adds a level of strategy and complexity. Obviously communication will be key, but at least there will be a fair amount of managing your skill in class and dealing with lap traffic, etc. The results would be worked out as overall finishing and by your class. If team based, then finishing high in your class, would help with some bonus points for combined times and/or finishing order. We could qualify all at once with collisions turned off, etc. Let me know what you think by answering the POLL above - Yes or No based on interest. | |

| My plan is to get this going the weekend LeMans finishes, so around mid June. I will work with Dk to get a rule set and sign up going. I will set up a test race in the next few weeks to "test" the concept. | |
