Tony's Time Trial Challenge

Starting today I will be setting a TIME TRIAL OF THE WEEK.

This will run from SATURDAY TO FRIDAY each week. Obviously this week's will be today till FRIDAY due to easter holiday.
All time trials will be done using a car I will specify each week, they are to be run STOCK as they appear in the manufacturers garage.
All replays must be 5 laps or less, these must be sent to DK BY Friday each week, weekly winners will be posted on SUNDAY'S.

As of yet no prizes will be awarded, just the coveted title of F.U.B.A.R TIME TRIALMIESTER OF THE WEEK. Good luck chaps.

This week's trial is -

TRACK - Laguna Seca
CAR - Ferrari 360 Modena.

Don't forget send all replay's to DK Rahne. (All replay's must be 5 laps or less)

If the car has adjustable settings ie suspension can we mess with them or do they have to be the original?

Just a question how do we send the replays? Im not all that great with the video feats of this game yet. Do we just save them and tell DK goto our Storefront? Do you want us posting times here as well?

Tony if its okay with you I would like to put up 100,000 credits each week for the winner. Its up to you how you use this wether you use it to provide a one off paint for each weeks car, or a tune setup, or just a 100,000 credit prize I just thought that it would make it more of a challenge if there is something to win. Hope you don't mind me offering this and let me know if you wish to accept the offer.

I can't offer that much each week, but could help out. Also, as this gets going, what about a fairly low buy in to the trials?
Maybe between 5,000 and 10,000 depending on car, track, etc. This way it kind of funds itself and credits should bring people.
Maybe too much to manage, but all the money could be settled up at the end of each week.
Just a thought as I know some of the series events we talked about buy in fees for drivers or teams.

or it could be set so that there is a paint job / logo that you should use for the trial and you have to have it on the car for the time to count? setting the cost @ 10 / 15,000 cr would generate a bit of cash and could be put towards a prize for the winner

Very good idea Nev, that would be the simplest way to gain entry into any tournament. Will keep that in mind.

Yeah the idea of buying a design/vinyl group to enter is genius

if its like an sponsor logo or something like that I'd probably put it on all my cars...along with some other sponsors but what if someone doesn't have enough credits to buy the expensive cars?

the idea was borrowed from the competition ugit some was running last week - thats where the genius lies!

I can work on a sticker that has fubar racing and weekly time trial on it. Maybe we can change the colors each week. Anyone have any ideas or needs for the sticker?

As for the overall design, I don't know something with a stopwatch somewhere on the logo? Up to you really on the overall direction.

In a way you might have to lower the price to participate because there's really no point of participating in an event if you'll lose more credits than you'll actually win. Even if the prize was around 100,000 Cr the actual cost of the Ferrari is more than that.. plus the cost of the vinyl. Not saying that it's a bad idea, its just that some Racers might not have bookoo amounts of credits as others. Also how would you know the car is stock? Someone could easily put tires on the car their running. Just sending you the actual replay wouldn't tell you the PI of the car to prove that its stock.

well for the first one the easiest way is to goto hot lap use the dealership car and you can save the replay that way and as for tires and upgrading you have a point guess wed maybe have to try to be honest here not like were winning 1million credits here
