When using staggered start races like we did with the positano race wouldnt it fairer to instead of having 1st to finish the winner have it set to race time because even with just a 2sec gap it still means the driver starting 8th is 16secs behind the 1st driver right from the off & with most off us all lapping with mebbe 1sec max of each other it means those need the back have basically no chance

with the race timer set up you could even give it 10 secs gap & it wouldnt hurt anyone as it would only be the actual time it took you to finish the allotted laps & not who finishes 1st - you could effectively have someone start 1st & finish 1st yet end up last because others finished the laps in a quicker race time, this would also mean drivers wouldnt have to push as much to gain places & should mean less race incidents
